This place should be 5 stars . The service is always top notch . The restaurant, including bathrooms are always clean & staff work together so you get seated & your drink very quickly. These guys have competitive pricing and often beat other mom & pop spots , so the value is there also . They have a few must try items . The loaded California spuds are a meal in itself & so addicting. My wife loves the loco moco & claims that its one of the best . My go to is chilaquiles (red) with over easy eggs or the Portuguese sausage & eggs . Pro tip ; ask for grilled Serrano peppers to heat up their tasty salsa for their locally famous home fried potatoes. Youll never regret this choice

This placed surprised me a bit, quite a satisfying breakfast. It was busy but we were seated immediately and drinks ordered and delivered promptly. Ham steak: 3/5. Hearty portion but ham steak was a little charred and pretty dry and tough. Potatoes were slightly burned. Eggs cooked perfectly. Country fried steak breakfast 4/5: aka chicken fried steak. Good portion and satisfying steak and gravy. Potatoes, like with the ham steak, were slightly burned, but still enjoyable. Eggs cooked perfectly. The salsa that comes with it is spicy and outstanding! Would love to have a bowl of chips with that salsa (5/5). Pancakes with strawberry and whipped cream: 5/5 this was great: fresh and simple. They have a combo of booths and tables inside the little mid-century modern diner, with a little toy train that runs a circle around the cafe (not working as of this weekend, but should be fixed soon). With 2 orange juices, 1 coffee and tip the above breakfast set us back $75. The value for money is a bit pricey IMO. Service was attentive and pleasant 5/5. Nice place for breakfast with family or friends. Look forward to coming back to try some more things, and more of that salsa!

I've passed by this place many times on my way to LBX, but decided on a whim to finally try it on a Friday afternoon. It did not disappoint! The pancakes were literally perfect. Nice stretchy consistency, fluffy, moist, gorgeous. I love it when the whipped butter looks like a scoop of ice cream. The waitress was super nice and welcoming. I will be back here asap.
